Around Europe, younger generations are increasingly indifferent to the history of fascism

The author of this article appearing in the Observer is German and her family has a Nazi past. She sees the same mindsets and indifference to fascism on the rise today amongst the young. Far right leaders today in Austria and Germany argue that modern obsessions with "human rights" are have produced a "catastrophic situation in Europe." In Germany, the far right AfD is calling for a "180 degree turn" from the tradition of atoning for Nazism.
